It's 9/27/08 2:48AM Saturday morning here in Manila, I'm still up and can't even feel any sign of sleepiness. Nothing new right? well no problem with that cause I'm already on my rest day c",) My Friday work shift ended earlier than usual since I was on the morning shift for the officer's strat planning. A day in Munti

It's now 2:42AM here in Manila, I'm currently waiting for a video file to be downloaded completely.... hey it's not a porn movie ok? hahaha. My brother will be using this video for his class tomorrow, so I really need to finish this. I'm really not in the mood to blog today, but hey I must do something while waiting right? Sunday was quite exhausting, we had to start the day early and travel around 50KMs down south. Good thing for my mom and brothers they just sat while I drive. Well its not all that bad, weather was good, streets were cleared of heavy traffic, what more can I ask right?

Today we had the chance to visit our relatives in Muntinlupa. Hmm for some reason that didn't sound right..... we'll just to be clear, they're not inmates, and its not the new Bilibid prison that we went to. c",) Our relatives lives in Lake View homes just next to Munisipyo ng Muntinlupa. It's Tito Peps' birthday today, and Tita Glo's birthday the other day that's why we celebrated a bit. There was lots of stories and jokes to catch up with, imagine the last time that we went there was last January 1st, took us long time to get back. There were no videoke nor billiards matches today because I was too busy playing and setting up their new laptop. I thought Tito Peps' some sites wherein he could download some themes and games for their mobile phones. And installed the SE PC suite so he could copy some applications and music to his phone. They now also have Internet access there, I was able to visit friendster a bit, but connection keeps on timing out, and from the way I experienced their service, I really wouldn't recommend it.

God, this download is taking forever, What I'm downloading is an educational film that my brother will be using for his history class. It's a 16 part video that I got from Youtube. I was able to download all 15 videos without any problem. I'm cutting this post here, I'm getting irate with this damn video..... I'll probably sleep why this darn thing is still downloading.

Singing Bee

Every time that life stresses me, it's always music that calms and refreshes me. From around 5 or 6 years old, I've already shown my interest with music or singing. When I was still young my mom bought this 4 piece multiplex cassette set, it contains nursery rhymes and other children songs. Among the 4 tapes, it was tape number 4 which was my favorite. It contained slow songs, such as "Greatest Love of All", "Somewhere out there", "Where is love" and so on. On occasions that I'm with my cousins we usually sing songs of the group Smokey Mountain.

I think it was in grade 3 when we were asked to sing individually in front of class, I was a bit shy that time, but yet I'm confident with what I'll be singing. During that time it was "Closer you and I" by Gino Padilla, that was on top of the charts. It was so popular that I even ask mom and dad to buy the album. Even though it was the most famous song that time, I opted to sing a different song. Though it was still with the same album, I sang "Gusto Kita" instead.

The class was noisy at first, since I was in an all boys school, teasing was something usual, but to my surprise when I started the first stanza, I guess on the second line, everybody stopped talking and was listening to me. This frightened me..... I was hoping that my classmates continue with what they're doing and not mind me singing. Never the less, the show must go on... hahahah. My teacher asked me to finish the song... and so I did....

At the end of the song, my teacher said something about my singing, but I was not able to really hear it, cause I was trying to rush back to my seat. During the time that I got to my seat the class was clapping.... and my seat mate said, "galing mo" ..... weh hahahhaha.

Well the solo singing in class was like an classroom elimination for a much bigger event. After everyone had sung in front, the teacher selected people to bring in "minus ones" for another round of elimination. I was asked to bring one....

With this, I told my dad, I need to find a song, with a minus one that I can sing.... It was Nonoy Zuniga's album that I asked my dad to buy. It was "I will be there for you" that I wanted to sing. I practiced, and I brough the tape in class.... when the teacher was asking the people that she selected to sing in front with the minus one, no one stood up, my classmates didn't bring any minus one and said that they're not prepared. Since I'm really shy during that time, I just hid my tape back in my bag and claimed that I was not also prepared..... Sad? nah, though that big "what if" still keeps on haunting me, my dad and mom was excited for me that time, but I was so shy to show my musical powers hahahaha.

After that you know what? I shifted career hahahaha, well I guess that's another post.... It's the time where "dancing" entered my life.

SPOON - Thank you

I've been a bit under the weather for the past few days, it was also the reason why I decided to take a vacation leave last Friday. Well considering also the "weather" isn't really that great either. Yesterday I stayed in bed most of the day, sleeping, watching TV and trying to catch my breath, I had asthma and a clogged nose combo meal. Hahahahaha.

Since I was on a TV marathon, I ran across this TV show, its a cooking slash talk show called "SPOON" and it is hosted by Janice de Belen in Net 25. Well to be honest I've seen this show several times before, specially during times that I cannot sleep at night. I like the show, though I'm really not into cooking but I guess it's the talk show part that I'm fascinated on.

I'm not a Janice de Belen fan, I really didn't like her hosting style in "SIS" for the reason that it's really evident that they are reading some idiot board and the fact that they (Janice, Gelli and Carmina) are always shouting. I don't know maybe they think shouting makes their scripts fascinating.... I think not.

Hosting "Spoon" is a different thing.... yesterday her guest was Clair Dela Fuente. Aside from the fact that I like the disk that they cooked, they posted an interesting conversation. Nothing deep, it was more on how Claire spends her time and what she was at home, as a Mom and as a business woman. Little did I know that Claire's husband already passed away. As she was telling the story, I was amazed with her words saying that even though she had lost her husband there are still a lot of things to be thankful of... reasons to be happy and reasons for continuing life.

Wow, I was amazed with her words. To be honest right now I really have lots of questions going on my mind .... with things that has been happening with us. Things that makes me question God's will and plans for us. A lot of "whys" .... but with what I've heard with Claire and Janice.... I've realized some things that I never though of before. Things that I could have taken for granted. Even though we're experiencing a non comfortable situation, we're still blessed in someways.

I tried reflecting and counting the things I have right now.... I can say I'm still blessed even though challenged. To start my list of blessings, I'm still alive!! after being in an ICU last year, I'm still ok and I'm still strong.Second is that even though my Dad is working abroad, were complete. There's open communication and our relationship is at its best. We're still eating 3 times a day,despite the increase in prices, there are even times when we eat more than 3 times. The luxury of driving my own car to work, despite the increase in oil prices, having the luxury of having a cable TV, DVD and an unlimited DSL Internet access for entertainment and relaxation. So many things to be thankful. Spoon - Thank you.....

Not so nice and not so well

The weather these past few days was not pleasing at all. Rain was so hard that driving to work was a challenge. Now I'm starting to feel some fever coming in. I had some chills last night, and tonight I think it's back. I'm also having some sudden mild asthma attacks, sigh....

I hope I'll be ok later today so I could report for work.

Friendster

After adding almost around 500+ of my friends and years of compiling them, last May I decided to delete my friendster account, sigh... Yeah, you're right, what am I thinking of? I dunno... I just suddenly grew tired of that account. At first I felt a little dismayed with what I did but I think its just right.

For the longest time since I deleted the account, it never really occurred to me to open another account, not even the slightest thought of it ... but never the less, walahhh, I have a new account hahahaha. Just what I've said with my previous post, it's not me who created it, it was my best friend. Actually, the new account was for some test that he wants to do, but since it's already there, why not update it again hahahaha.

As I was adding my friends just this morning, I felt like that I'm in a time warp of some sort. Not only that I was adding friends from the past, I was also listening to music from the 80's. Songs that my friends and I grew up to.... It's so nice to think of people you've grew with. Some actually are married already, some of them are still in touch while some .... I think were sucked into a vortex or a black whole because just after graduation, their location is suddenly un-identified and they just suddenly disappeared from the face of Earth.

Oh here's a funny thing, just after I went online this morning, I went to my room and watched TV, unconsciously I fell a sleep. I had a dream.... guess what, my dream was so populated with people..... people from grade school, high school and even college days..... imagine it was so crowded hahaha. The setting was like a team building or a reunion of some sort.... I was in it, as well as my friends from my past mingling and chatting about things that happened before and after graduation. And when I woke up, I was stressed hahahahah. It felt like I've talked too much, and talked with so many people hahahahaha. Moral lesson? never sleep after going to friendster.com hahaha.

Anyways, I'll have to stop here cause any minute now I'll be going to my room to sleep, I don't want to attend another reunion......

Dull Saturday

Ey guys, its now 6:29pm here in Manila, haven't done anything exciting today.... I slept late last night,actually it was around 4am this morning that I was able to sleep. Got up at around 6:00AM to check whats for breakfast hahahaha. Got to chat with my brother for a while, before he left for our business. After he left, I got back into bed and slept a few more hours. My youngest brother woke me up around 10AM I think, just to say that he's leaving for an anime convention at UP. After that I got back to sleep and woke up just past lunch time. I wanted to go out, but I was waiting for Mel, an agent from the publishing company that mom is writing a book with.... She was to get the other drafts that we made, unfortunately the agreement was that she'll be here in the afternoon, but till now I haven't heard from her. I should have gone somewhere else....

Arrrg,this is my third post for the day,all I've been doing today was just to sleep and go online. Don't have much people to chat with on both MSN live and YM, most of my friends are offline aside from my friends from work, I tried chatting with Joyce from the office but it seems she's busy with some issues at work.

This day is so boring hahahhaha,also considering the uncomfortable weather outside. Another thing, Mom is still in the province with Tita Valsie because Lola Minyang had another stroke two days ago I think, hope she recovers soon.

If only I knew that Mel won't be coming, I could have gone somewhere....

Ey guys,just as promised, 'm back and I'm going to blog hard hahahaha. Well I was suppose to post something with regard to my unpleasant experience with PLDT people. But I rather not, I saw a lot of blogs and comments through forums that speaks of their pathetic service. I just hope someone from PLDT would compile and create some action items regarding those issues. It's just ironic that PLDT is a big company, but it can't even provide a steady and reliable service. well anyways... it's their problem and not mine.

It's so nice to be online again here at home, I was able to visit my new friendster account... that my bestfriend Eric created hahahhaa. I'm back to compiling my friends again.
