It's just now that I think I'll be determined with my New Year's Resolution.... I tried checking my weight last week, and I'm almost at 180lbs .... got to lose some weight.....

I must and I will ...

Looking back at 2008

2008 wasn't that bad .... there were good things that happened but also there were some down times. Wrong decisions were made, but yet we still are able to make it till today.

What did I learn from 2008? Being thankful ... thankful for everything I have, I learned to treasure life more and what I have. I learned to be humble and be simple. Thankful for the things and people around me. Counting my blessings is better than looking for things that I don't have.

With all that happened in 2008 I hope I grasp all the learning and live by it and hopefully I use them as I go through 2009.

I wish 2009 be better for all of us.... all of mankind...

Happy New Year....

Reginalde - Flores Nuptial

Last December 12, 2008 my cousin Glenn got married, since Kuya Glenn was the eldest among all of our cousins (well at least for the Reginalde side), it was a memorable event to the whole Reginalde Family. I was part of the entourage, as one of the grooms men, it was nice, Church was nice, as well as the reception. Here are some pics taken on that day, I do apologize some are blurred I just got them through my cousin's friendster accounts hehehehe.

Current Events : Thinking Out Loud

Manny Pacquiao vs De La Hoya :

- its good to have someone that really unites the country, well at least for a day. I'm really not into boxing, I rather pay much in watching Brgy Ginebra's game than Manny Pacquiao, but just what I said he is someone who binds the Filipinos united, so I think it's still good to have a Manny Pacquiao. My comment on the match? hmm, is De La Hoya a boxer? hahahaha. The match seemed to be pre-agreed upon. Boxing politics.

Charter Change (Cha-cha) :

- back in college I had a fair share of reading the present Philippine constitution, admittedly there are some parts of the constitution that I personally think needs revision and further checking but is charter change a way to correct all this? Nah I don't think so... even if we change the Philippine constitution and our form of government but we still keep those corrupt and greedy government officials, the Philippines will stay the same........ or probably FAIL more. Maybe we can start with those who are proven corrupt, erase them and their bloodline within politics. That's where I think we should start.

Marky Cielo's death :

- He's too young, just like Rico Yan, Marky died at the peak of his career, he could have done much. Hope he finds peace.

Oil prices slip below $45 per barrel

- this is good news, hope it continues to go down and extends to the next year. Gas price has been a pain in the ass for the past months, it went up so high that I had to decide not to bring my car to work. Good thing it's now going down.

Lord I Offer You My Life

I attended Kuya Glenn's and Ate Acel's wedding just a while ago, and a song during the mass made me reflect and somehow made me realize things. Analyzing the thought of the song made me relaxed, it was so instant and it felt so great. Well it could have been with the singer.... I've listened to the song before, it's really a good song, not only that it has a great lyrics but it has a great tune as well. Anyways, I'll be adding the song lyrics with this post, as for Kuya Glenn's wedding I'll just post the pics soon.

Lord I offer you my life - Hillsong

(Verse 1)
All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before you, oh Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaims
The joy and the pain, I'm making them yours

(Verse 2)
Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my heart, alll of my praise
My heart and my hands are lifted to you

(Chorus)
Lord, I offer my life to you
Everything I've been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to you
Lifting my praise to you
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer you my life

(Bridge)
What can we give
That you have not given?
And what do we have
That is not already yours?
All we possess
Are these lives we're living
That's what we give to you, Lord

Keeping Steady

For some unknown reason I got up super early today than usual, its only 12:40pm here in Manila and I'm already up, yes its PM..... I should be nocturnal this week, and for a nocturnal person 12 noon is not good.

Haven't been blogging much recently, I was only able to post 3 articles for November. Why? I'm really not sure, maybe it's my way of trying to be steady, too much rantings and thinking out loud might cause stress to me and to my readers. It would be better that I keep my positive attitude, things will be better .... with God's help of course. Honestly, even though there are still problems around, I think we're in good shape, there's this different positive attitude from my folks and my brothers now. Hope 2009 will be better than this year.

As for work.... hmmm that's another story. It's just that recent that we were trying to adjust with some changes with the team, slowly but surely we're getting there, struggled a bit but we did it, we all hoped that it would be the last ... well at least for the year, but we were wrong. It's just ironic that whenever an episode ends, it always gives some preview of the next episode. Same thing happens in real life. Some changes are yet to come in 2009..... Hope we all could handle it. It's sad but I respect her decision.

Well, I need to get back to never land ..... or else expect downtimes during my shift hahahaha.
